All functions are accessible from the START button.

The Bench has a battery life of 6 hours, it recharges quickly in 30 minutes. For tests of longer duration, its charger makes it possible to operate it on mains.

Manual Control

In this mode, you vary the speed of the motor in steps of 10% by successive presses on the START button. A long press makes it possible to test the engine at full speed. An acceleration ramp is applied at each gear change to save the engine's mechanical transmission and brushes.

With the Le Bench application, finely control the engine speed, visualize the RPMs of the engine, the power consumed as well as the voltage and the current absorbed.

This is the mode accessible directly when you turn on your Bench.

Our advice : Ideal for the development of your cars whether in the workshop or in the paddocks.

 

Break-in Short

This automatic break-in program varies the speed of the motor in steps of 10% up to 60% then in steps of 20% up to 100%. At each landing, the speed is maintained for nearly 4 minutes. The duration of the program is 30 minutes.

To start a short run, simply pressing the START button is enough. The Bench then checks the operations during the execution of the program and then automatically stops the engine when the break-in is finished.

With the Le Bench application, you know exactly where you are: you visualize the break-in curve, the progression and the remaining time of the program. The RPM measurements of the motor, the power consumed as well as the voltage and the current absorbed are also displayed in real time.

Whether with the START button or from the application, you always have control over the program: Start, Pause, Resume and Stop.

Our advice : Short Run-in is suitable for re-commissioning a worn or aging engine.

 

Break-in Full

In this program, the engine speed starts at 10%, then it is increased in increments of 5% to 60%. The speed is then set to 70%, then 85% and finally 100%. Each level lasts 21 minutes, the total duration of the program is 6 hours.

To start the program, simply press the START button. The Bench then checks the operations during the execution of the program and then automatically stops the engine when the break-in is finished.

With the Le Bench application, you know exactly where you are: you visualize the break-in curve, the progression and the remaining time of the program. The RPM measurements of the motor, the power consumed as well as the voltage and the current absorbed are also displayed in real time.

Break-in Custom

With the Le Bench app, create your own lapping profile : draw your curve, choose the duration of the program and start its execution, The Bench does the rest for you!

Quick Test of the engine and lightning

Before starting a race, would you like to check that your vehicle is working properly? For the night events, you must make sure that your lights are in use: all the LEDs work, the lighting is maintained when the car is at a standstill and it goes well in flashing mode during a runway excursion , for smart lighting chips?

By simply pressing the START button, run the Quick Test.

This program performs a fast acceleration ramp to full speed to stay at this speed for 10 seconds: the time to charge your lighting chip and check the behavior of your transmission (engine, pinion and crown).

The power then goes 3x to 0% then 100% for 1 second, then you can control your lights remain active during the 3 engine shutdowns.

The speed then goes to 0% for 10 seconds to check that your light goes into flashing mode, simulating a runway exit.

Finally, the motor performs a slow acceleration from 0 to 100% and slow deceleration until the engine stops. This allows you to judge the good behavior of the mechanics at different engine speeds possible.

Our advice : This test lasts less than 30 seconds, this is the recommended program before any race start.

 

Drive Simulation

Want to check the robustness of your vehicle? Is everything fixed and maintained in the cabin?

The drive simulation is a program that reproduces the acceleration, deceleration and braking applied to a car when driven on a Slot Racing circuit.. The program chains the laps to the end by the user. The constraints on the mechanics, the electrical circuit and the lighting system are then reproduced in a way close to what your vehicle undergoes during a race.

By simply pressing the START button, launch the Drive Simulation

You have control over the simulation program : At any time, pressing the START button will pause, resume, or stop.

Our advice : After completing your adjustments, test your vehicle for 5 minutes to check its robustness.

 

Mechanical Settings

The front and back pads of the Bench are removable and reversible.

On the back of each pad, a millimeter vernier is printed on a black vinyl paper. It measures the distance of the rear axle and the front axle. No need for calipers to control the regulatory gap of your rear end. Position your vehicle on Le Bench and read the value directly.

Vernier

Adjusting the front axle is a crucial step in the setup of your vehicle. It is important that the ground clearance is optimized and that the front axle has minimal clearance to get the best performance in the race. With its pads in place, Le Bench is a perfectly adapted marble to all of these settings and mechanical controls.

Our advice : Before the electrical tests, start with the mechanical adjustments, so you start on a healthy basis.
